INSTRUCTIONS

QUICK START

1. Run the installer, then fully restart your DAW. Find INCEPTOR under Instruments → TrevBeats Multimedia (a standalone app is also in /Applications).
2. First run: paste at least one AI key — every row has a "Get key ↗" link and a TEST button — or press ⚡ AUTO-SETUP: it opens one provider page at a time, watches your clipboard, files and tests every key you copy, then advances on its own. Keys are free to create and persist through every update. Sampling, stems and all pad features work with no keys at all.
3. Recommended: GET HQ STEMS ENGINE (same screen) — one click, ~270 MB, installs itself. Studio-grade separation from then on, fully offline.
4. Make sound: type "deep rubbery 808 with a long glide", hit ✦ DREAM for a full kit, or drop audio / video / a YouTube or Instagram link onto the brain.
5. Play: pads answer notes C2–G#2 on any MIDI channel — the first octave of a 25-key controller, no octave shift needed.

THE MAIN WINDOW

Top bar: MIXER · LOAD VIDEO · ✦ DREAM · MASTER · SYNC (master tempo-lock) · STOP ALL · CLEAR ALL · SCENES · ⚙ settings · master-gain dial.

The brain: 8 glowing pads showing note + identity (DRUMS / BASS / VOCALS / MUSIC / FULL / AI or slot number). Click = edit (also focuses your hardware knobs) · double-click = audition. The capsule under the brain is the live status line.

AI console: action chips (make sounds / edit slots / map midi / dream kits — click to prefill) · provider dropdown (Auto tries your keyed providers in order) · chat bubbles · prompt bar.

WHAT YOU CAN SAY TO THE CHAT

IMPORT → STEMS

Ways in: drop a video or audio file · drag a YouTube / Instagram link from the browser (or paste it in chat — public content only) · LOAD VIDEO.

What lands: the untouched FULL MIX on its own pad, then Drums / Bass / Vocals / Music — 5 pads per import, each with its own note and auto-detected tempo, with a live % + countdown while it works.

STEM ASSIGN (dropdown in the slot editor header) pulls any stem of the last import onto any specific pad.

THE SLOT EDITOR (CLICK A PAD)

• 16 knobs: GAIN (reaches −∞) · PITCH · PAN · DRIVE / full ADSR / 3-band EQ + MID FREQ / PUNCH · BODY / CUTOFF · RES.
• Waveform: drag to set the START and END points — grab whichever marker is closer (white grip on top = start, pink grip on bottom = end; the trimmed region plays, everything outside is dimmed). Live playhead, zoom to 64× (wheel zooms at the cursor).
• Pitch ⊥ tempo: PITCH shifts pitch only; PAD TEMPO (auto-set to the sample's detected BPM) changes speed only; SYNC locks the pad to your DAW tempo. Phase-coherent — no clicks, no warble. REVERSE uses classic varispeed.
• Trigger: ONE-SHOT · REVERSE · POLY (MPC-style: MONO cuts on retrigger, POLY overlaps) · choke groups 1–4.
• MIDI: channel (default OMNI) + note + LEARN.

MIXER & CONTROLLERS

8 strips — fader, MUTE, PLAY, STOP per pad — plus PLAY ALL (stems stack back into the full track). The footer holds 30 built-in controller maps (Akai, Arturia, Novation, NI, M-Audio, Alesis, Nektar, Behringer, Roland). Your controller's 8 knobs drive the selected pad's macros. Every parameter is host-automatable.

MASTER BUS

The built-in output chain: 3-band EQ → NOISE REDUCTION (one knob — kills hiss and bleed on separated stems; NR THRESH fine-tunes how hard it bites) → PUNCH / BODY transients → master gain → LIMITER. For third-party plugins, insert them on the DAW track after INCEPTOR.

SCENES

Save the entire brain — samples, every knob, master bus — under a name. Double-click recalls. Scene files survive updates and reinstalls.
